Après le succès de l’expérience 2009, Workin’Art, atelier établi à Souk Sarouja, a invité à nouveau plusieurs artistes à expérimenter et découvrir l’usage du ciment dans les arts plastiques. L’édition 2010 diffère de l’expérience précédente « Murales » qui avait réuni 160 participants en ce qu’elle intègre la notion de création tridimensionnelle dans l’espace. La production des travaux s’est révélée plus longue du fait de l’exigence liée à la création d’œuvres dans l’espace. 45 artistes présentent ainsi plus de 35 œuvres réalisées lors d’un atelier de trois mois.

Under the patronage of Minister of Culture Mr. Naasan Agha, Tajalliyat Art Gallery with a cooperation of Institute of Applied Arts holds the first International Wood Sculpture Symposium in Syria in Damascus Citadel as from 1/6/2010 till 12/6/2010, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, with the participation of 3 Syrian and 9 European sculptors.

Sara Shamma’s participation in Nord Art 2010 Germany

The Syrian artist “Sara Shamma” will participate in the 12th edition of the largest annual art exhibition in northern Europe Nord Art 2010, which will take place from the 12th of June to the 3rd of October 2010 in the towns of Büdelsdorf and Rendsburg in Germany. The participation will be with 5 large paintings (oil on canvas) painted recently.
Nord Art is organized by KiC – Kunst in der Carlshütte; the exhibition comprises a 20,000 square meters of closed area, 60,000 square meters of parkland and other buildings, and public squares in the town of Büdelsdorf. The event attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year.

The young Syrian painter Khayyam Zedan has completed his art studies at the University of Damascus in 2007 with a diploma. This is the first public solo exhibition of his very expressive and strongly colored images in large formats. Opening on Monday, 31.05.2010 at 18.00 clock in the presence of the artist.
